The creator of Island Vibe, Coco’s family has lived in Mauritius since 1992. Having spent the last few years living in Cape Town, Coco has recently seen the light (reflecting off the clear blue water) and has returned to the Island.

Why We Are

Upon returning to the Island, Coco was initially b.o.r.e.d. This didnt last long, however, as soon the notoriously friendly islanders welcomed her with open arms (and bottles.) Soon she discovered that the Island is anything but boring, and has never looked back. Unfortunately, others have not been so lucky. New people are arriving on the island every day, and these people are often b.o.r.e.d. too. Coco got tired of hearing people who’s boredness had grown into disdain, tired of the same old “it sucks here, there’s nothing to do, whinge whinge the roads, whinge whinge the (you get the picture).” Just before she was about to snap and scream “then GO HOME BITCHES!” she remembered that she too had once been a Whinger. So instead, she took a few deep breaths (and a few tranquillizers) and started IslandVibe, a site that could show newcomers that there is indeed life on the Island – quite a lot of it.

What We Are

IslandVibe is so much more than a welcoming party. The site is also for the Already Settled, a place to find out where the next party is, which restaurant is having a special, when the sales are on, when the next shark dive is, and basically anything else you may need to know.
